U.S. Copts Association will hold a peaceful demonstration on Wednesday, April 19th, 2006 on the White House sidewalk and in front of the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C. to protest the recent terrorist attacks by Islamist extremists against Christian churchgoers in Alexandria, Egypt, the ensuing anti-Christian mob violence and property destruction, and the Egyptian government’s evasive response to the attacks.
The demonstration, which will comprise Coptic and non-Coptic protestors from several states around the U.S. and which will be led by U.S. Copts president Michael Meunier, will take place between 11:00 AM and 1:20 PM on the White House sidewalk and 1:40 PM to 2:30 PM at the Egyptian Embassy.
