Judge upholds Egyptian law that allows them to close websites

Reporters without borders has condemned the action. Sandmonkey has the story (link).

It is argued as a threat to national security. Individual thought a threat to national security. Truth a threat to national security.

And before anyone says the USA does the same thing, I've seen the "loose change" flash presentation on how the plane never hit the pentagon. But we don't censor that. To be fair that is more of an anthropology study of what happens when stupidity gets opposable thumbs than a threat to security...but still.

My prayers for those who blog and try to promote free expression in Egypt, this is bound to get very messy.
